DAMASK

The fragrant Damask Roses have long been used in the perfume trade.  Mme. Hardy, with its sumptuous pure white blossoms and green eye, is the classic standard bearer for this group.  Ispahan blooms the longest and Comte de Chambord is the only recurrent one.

BOTZARIS  If you want to allow it to grow naturally, Botzaris requires a fair amount of room to flop over, unless you  restrain it. Has gorgeous, fully packed, richly textured flat-faced blooms of blush to pure white.  A wonderful fragrance.  Health is VG

COMTE DE CHAMBORD  Full soft pink double blooms and wonderfully fragrant.  Recurrent and blooms for a long period. It has a particularly fine bud form, plump, pointed and dark pink.  Health is G

HEBE'S  LIP  An ancient sweet flower.  The semi-double white bloom has lip-shaped edges delicately tinged with pink.  It forms a shrub about 4 feet high that can be caged for support or allowed to gracefully arch and droop to the ground.  Has a medium fragrance.  Health is VG

ISPAHAN  Has a bloom period of 6 weeks.  It is a very prolific bloomer and is totally covered with shapely pink blooms in season.  Very fragrant.  It grows naturally tall, so either cage it or prune each year to 4 ft. (and some old canes to the ground)  Health is EX

MADAME HARDY  Sumptuous, elegant, full double bloom with a distinctive green eye.  Although it only blooms once, it will do so for a much longer period if sited with only a half day's sun.  (I find this true for most roses).  This rose grows to over 7 feet, so you can either let it rest against a wall or fence, or cage it at about 4 feet and let the canes arch out and down. Health is VG
