CHINENSIS

Chinensis or China Roses introduced continuous blooming into rose culture in Europe.  Nurserymen were quick to capitalize on this trait in their hybridization programs.  It's a reasonably healthy rose class, so I felt some representatives should be included in my heritage rose garden.  These plants can form large upright shrubs to 8 feet or more, but can be easily kept pruned down to more manageable heights.

MUTABILIS  A most rewarding rose -- the best nonstop bloomer in my garden.  This photo doesn't do justice to the marvelous color blend of apricot/yellow/magenta.  Often compared to a butterfly in color and form. Health is VG

OLD BLUSH   An ancient thornless chinensis, semi-double with small pinkish red blooms, darkening to magenta with age.  A vase-shaped plant to 7 ft. that blooms continuously  Health is VG
